A New Front Door for a Downtown Destination
Along West 4th Street, a reimagined resort entrance gives guests a clearer, more memorable welcome to one of downtown Reno’s most visible hospitality and entertainment properties. The work supports Jacobs Entertainment’s broader vision for J Resort and Reno’s Neon Line District, where entertainment, dining, public art, and community activity continue to reshape the western edge of downtown.
A Guest Experience Rooted in Place
The expanded entrance does more than update a façade. It improves wayfinding, strengthens the connection between the resort and the street, and creates a more polished sense of arrival for guests, visitors, and locals. For a property built around movement and activity, the entry experience needed to feel intuitive, durable, and connected to the surrounding district.
Built Around Active Hospitality Operations
Construction within an operating resort required careful coordination around access, safety, staging, deliveries, and ongoing property needs. Plenium Builders managed the work to maintain progress while allowing the resort to continue serving guests throughout construction.
Exterior improvements, arrival pathways, and transitions all influence how people experience the property before reaching hotel amenities, restaurants, gaming, or event spaces. Attention to sequencing and site conditions helped preserve the sense of welcome the finished entrance was designed to create.
Supporting Momentum in Reno’s Neon Line District
The completed expansion strengthens J Resort’s connection to West 4th Street and supports continued investment in downtown Reno. As part of the broader Neon Line District, the project contributes to a growing destination where people can gather, stay, and explore.
