A Renewed Mountain Retreat
Just uphill from Heavenly Mountain Resort, Tahoe Seasons Resort has long been a favorite destination for travelers seeking a blend of alpine charm and comfort. Built in 1983, the resort recently completed a multi-phase renovation to modernize all guest suites and shared spaces while preserving its distinctive lodge atmosphere.
Design That Embraces the Setting
OneStudio’s design approach grounded the renovation in the natural surroundings. The updated lobby, now the heart of the resort, welcomes guests with a grand central fireplace and intimate seating that feels like a personal mountain hideaway. Guest suites were reconfigured to create a more functional and luxurious experience—each now includes a private master bedroom, a new coffee bar and seating nook, and large windows that frame views of the surrounding forest and mountains.
Finishing the Guest Suite Transformation
Plenium Builders led the final phase of the guest suite renovations, completing 48 rooms that marked the culmination of the resort’s comprehensive upgrade. Working within an aging structure, the team navigated challenges including outdated MEP systems, limited documentation, and the need to bring accessibility features up to current standards. PB replaced guest room doors, upgraded bathroom fixtures, added ADA hardware and signage, and refreshed interior finishes in line with earlier phases.
Built Around the Guest Experience
Renovation work took place while the resort remained open, requiring precise coordination with resort staff to minimize disruptions. PB sequenced work around peak travel periods, maintained a clean and quiet jobsite, and preserved guest access throughout construction. The final result blended seamlessly into the completed renovation, both visually and operationally.
A Quiet Elevation of Comfort and Style
The completed work at Tahoe Seasons Resort reflects careful collaboration between client, architect, and builder. With modernized systems, refreshed interiors, and upgraded amenities, the resort is ready to welcome a new generation of guests while remaining true to the warm, inviting spirit that has defined it for decades.
